AAA Sports Club has a fun and educational chess summer camp for beginner and intermediate players. Two sessions are available for the summer, 2025. Children ages 6-12 will learn the basic moves, opening and mid-game strategies, and the all-important end-game. Students will also learn about the history of chess, and study famous players and matches. Players will become familiar with chess terminology and score-sheet notation. Students will play matches against each other, play against chess computers, and compete in a tournament (2 divisions based on age/ability) on the final day. All AAA chess instructors have above a 1900 chess rating.
Students are required to bring a pencil, paper, and have a dedicated chess folder for the class. A $20 fee is due on the first day is due for teaching chess set (seen in video above).
